Safety Comes Standard

The 2020 Ford Edge has a list of standard features and systems that are designed with your safety in mind. The Individual Tire Pressure Monitoring System keeps you aware of how much air is in each of its tires. When one becomes underinflated, it'll send you a warning on the tire that needs to be refilled.

The Rear-View Camera helps you safely back out of parking spots and your driveway. That's because, when in reverse, it provides a live view of your path right on the center display screen in your Edge.

At Your Assistance

Along with those features, the 2020 Ford Edge also has some innovative systems that are designed to give you even more confidence when driving around in your SUV. Standard in the 2020 Edge is Ford Co-Pilot360™. This a bundle of driver-assistive features that includes:

• Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert: Instead of constantly having to wonder if there's a car coming when trying to get out of a crowded parking lot or while changing lanes, this feature will alert you to any oncoming cars you may not be able to see.
• Lane-Keeping System: If you happen to become distracted and start to drift toward one side of your lane, this system will alert you, so you can reposition your Edge safely back to the middle of the road.

• Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking: Whether the car in front of you suddenly hits the brakes or a pedestrian starts to cross your path, this system will keep you aware of what's happening ahead and take corrective action if needed. 
• Auto High-Beam Headlamps: To increase your visibility at night, this system will automatically turn on the high beams for you. Then when an oncoming car is approaching, it can automatically turn them back off.

There's also an additional driver-assistive feature you can get that will help you park your Edge. The available Enhanced Active Park Assist is able to help steer you into spots along the streets of Philly.

Added Peace of Mind

The Edge also comes with some advanced features that help give you more peace of mind. The SecuriLock® Passive Anti-Theft System is able to prevent the engine from starting unless the coded key that's programmed to your vehicle is being used.

The Ford Edge also comes with the MyKey® system. If there's a teen driver in the family who'll be borrowing your SUV, this will help instill good driving habits. With this, you can set speed restrictions, a maximum audio volume, and require seatbelt usage.
