The 2021 Ford Explorer provides drivers in Doylestown, Philadelphia, and Warminster, Pennsylvania, with an abundance of attributes from top to bottom. To give you a better understanding of the Ford Explorer, our team here at Fred Beans Ford of Doylestown has put together this review of the Ford Explorer trim levels.

Read on to find out which configuration will provide the driving experience you prefer. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Ford Explorer

As the base trim, the Explorer supplies accommodating features, such as the tri-zone electronic temperature control, to make sure everyone on board is comfortable.

In terms of safety, this trim offers the Lane-Keeping System to prevent you from inadvertently drifting out of your intended lane. Its helpful features include:

  • Lane-Keeping Assist
  • Lane-Keeping Alert
  • Driver Alert

Ford Explorer XLT

The next trim is known as the XLT and features much of the same that you'll find on the base. However, you now have access to such features as available Remote Start and SYNC with Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System.

You will also be able to utilize standard Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start, which allows you to unlock your doors simply by having your keys on hand and touching the driver door handle. Once you're inside the vehicle, you can easily press the Push-Button Start to get your engine going.

Ford Explorer Limited

Next up is the Explorer Limited. This configuration supplies you with a lot of convenient features. The auto-dimming rearview mirror prevents the distraction caused when a vehicle with bright headlights pulls up behind you. The Universal Garage Door Opener can also be a big help when the weather is less than ideal.

Ford Explorer ST

The Ford Explorer ST sets itself apart with items such as the paddle shifters that provide an even more intuitive performance. The heated steering wheel and heated second-row captains seats add a lot in terms of interior comfort. The Explorer ST also makes pulling into parking spots much easier with the Active Park Assist 2.0.

Ford Explorer King Ranch

The King Ranch trim ups your aesthetics by featuring Mesa Del Rio leather on the steering wheel and all of the seats, with each one sporting a hand-stitched King Ranch logo for an added look of luxury.

That branding continues on the exterior of the vehicle as well, this time showing up on your tires. The exclusive King Ranch center cap will be found amidst the 20-inch aluminum wheels to provide a sleek look on the outside.

Ford Explorer Platinum

Finally, there's the Ford Explorer Platinum. This trim level provides the hands-free, foot-activated liftgate for easy access, especially helpful whenever you need to access the cargo space while your hands are full. The memory feature for the exterior driver's-side and passenger-side mirrors also makes it easy to get on the road sooner without having to make visual adjustments.

The available twin-panel moonroof does its part to adorn the cabin with energizing sunlight, fresh air, and warmth.
