Let's be honest-we live in a world where bells and whistles matter. Everything we do has to have the next big thing in terms of gadgets, technology, and functionality to catch and keep our dwindling attention spans. This extends beyond cell phones and smart homes and into the cars we drive. We want intuitive, easy-to-use gadgets in our dashboards and under the hood that make our lives all the easier.

For years, Fred Beans Ford has worked to remain a leader among vehicles with the convenience it offers, and this keeps drivers in Philadelphia, Doylestown, and Warminster coming back for more. The 2017 model of the Ford Fusion brings a ton of new tech features to the plate this year, and drivers will love what's on the table. Read about the 2017 Ford Fusion technology features, what you get from base to high-level trims, and where you can go to take a test drive.

2017 Ford Fusion

Ford went all-out on their 2017 Ford Fusion model year update, bringing a ton of upgrades, including an updated infotainment system, a new trim level, and even a powerful new engine. It comes in five trim levels: the S-level base trim, the SE trim, the Titanium level, the Platinum, and the V6 Sport trim later this year.

Base Fusion

The base S-level trim comes with an impressive suite of entry-level tech. This includes automatic headlights, LED taillights, power accessories (windows, locks, etc.), cruise control, a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio with voice commands, smartphone app integration, and a sound system that brings four speakers, a CD player, a USB port, and an auxiliary jack.

Upper-Level Tech Offerings

Stepping your Fusion up to higher levels gives you additional tech options, including features like keypad entry, LED running lights, power seat adjustment, and upgraded sound system options including a six-speaker, an 11-speaker and a 12-speaker Sony system option. You can also get options like satellite radio, fog lights (with LED option), turbocharged engine options, LED headlights, keyless ignition and entry, remote start, auto-dim heated mirrors, heated seats, driver memory settings, automatic climate control, and more.

Also part of this vehicle is the outstanding Ford Sync infotainment and telematics system, which is controlled by an 8-inch LCD touchscreen with fully customizable gauge clusters, full voice controls, extra USB ports, and a wealth of safety features.

Safety Technology

Safety tech on the new 2017 Fusion includes GPS navigation, automatic parking (parallel and perpendicular), adaptive cruise control, forward collision monitoring, automatic emergency help call, automatic wipers and high beams, blind-spot and rear cross-traffic monitoring and alerts, lane departure warning and mitigation, inflatable seatbelts, Ford MyKey, and more.

The Fusion received top five-star and "good" ratings from government crash tests and the IIHS, making it a dependable pick for families.
