Comfort comes standard in the refreshed 2016 Ford Explorer. This three-row crossover SUV may look like a burly, muscular, no-nonsense hauler, but it's actually very skilled at pampering its passengers as well.

Its vast cabin is comfortable and quiet and wrapped in upscale materials. Despite its affordable price tag, the Explorer manages to flaunt a premium design, complete with soft-touch materials and the MyFord Touch interface. The latter adds a high-res touchscreen with easy-to-use tactile buttons to the center console, as well as two screens in the gauge cluster. Even the dashboard is soft, and the controls are substantial -- all of which you'll enjoy from the comfort of the Explorer's highly accommodating front seats.
