In a press release from earlier today, Ford Motor Company proudly announced that the new 2017 Ford Escape was named the winner in the annual Compact SUV Challenge hosted by Cars.com. Ranking as the best option for shoppers in the segment, Escape beat out the 2016 Kia Sportage, 2016 Honda CR-V, 2016 Toyota RAV4 and 2016 Hyundai Tucson.
The 2017 Escape offers customers a choice of two new EcoBoost engines, both featuring Auto Start-Stop as standard equipment. It is also available with driver-assist features like adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support, and enhanced active park assist.
“The significantly refreshed Ford Escape is a great-driving small SUV, now with even more features for the money,” said Patrick Olsen, Cars.com editor in chief. “Between its huge driver-connectivity system, comfortable and quiet ride, and impressive built-in storage, the Escape is a real winner.”
