Fred Beans Automotive Group participates in Ford’s Summer of Community Impact, hosts 9 blood drives in one month

Fred Beans Automotive Group held 9 blood drives in July as part of Ford Motor Company’s “Ford Building Together - Summer of Community Impact” campaign to mark America’s 250th birthday. To celebrate in a meaningful way, Ford tapped 250 total dealerships, 9 of which are owned and operated by Fred Beans, to choose among a handful of charities to support. Fred Beans Automotive Group selected the American Red Cross because of its longstanding relationship with the nonprofit.
“We appreciated the opportunity and were proud to involve all eight of our Ford dealerships and our Lincoln dealership in the Summer of Community Impact,” said Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Automotive Group. “Ford’s Chief Dealer Engagement Officer, Elena Ford, had a vision to celebrate our country’s birthday at the dealership level, where we could make each community we serve even stronger through our charitable events.”
Fred Beans Ford stores located in Boyertown, Pa.; Doylestown, Pa.; Exton, Pa.; Langhorne, Pa.; Mechanicsburg, Pa.; Newtown, Pa.; Washington, N.J.; and West Chester, Pa., as well as the Lincoln store in Doylestown, each held a blood drive in July. After the final drive on July 30, the automotive group had collected 282 units of blood for donation and reinforced its Premier Partner status with the American Red Cross.
As a show of appreciation, Fred Beans’ Ford Mobile Service offered a free oil change or tire rotation to donors at each of the 9 blood drive sites. In total, Fred Beans completed 70 mobile services across the 9 store locations to deserving donors.
These most recent blood drives bring Fred Beans Automotive Group’s lifetime total to 2,588 units donated to the Red Cross.
