Compact crossover SUVs continue to gain popularity year after year. They offer the best balance of a car, a truck, and an off-roading vehicle-great for recreational use, taking the kids to a sports game, going to work, or taking road trips with the family.Â
Of course, part of this multifunctional usage must include great technology, and the Ford Escape delivers in this area. If you live in Doylestown, Philadelphia, or Warminster, learn what the technology in the Ford Escape has to offer and where you can test drive one of your own.Â
Ford Escape TechnologyÂ
Ford Escape technology offerings-as with most vehicles out there-are dependent largely on which configuration you choose for your vehicle. Higher level trims offer more gadgets for entertainment, convenience, and safety. The Escape comes in three trim levels (S, SE, and Titanium) plus a few additional options.Â
Base S Level TrimÂ
The standard technology features on the base Ford Escape S include MyKey parental controls, power accessories, keyless entry, cruise control, a 4.2-inch central display, a rearview camera, Ford SYNC voice command with smartphone integration, Bluetooth® connectivity, and six-speaker sound with CD player and USB port.Â
SE LevelÂ
Kicking it up a notch, the Escape SE comes with all the above plus automatic headlights, keypad entry, eight-way power driver seat with power lumbar, and a satellite radio tuner. Satellite radio requires a subscription service.Â
At this level, an optional Convenience Package gives you rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 110-volt power outlet (household style), SYNC 3 touchscreen interface with an 8-inch touchscreen, and an upgraded nine-speaker sound system with two USB ports. You can add a power liftgate and remote start as additional options in this package.
The Leather Comfort package offers heated mirrors and heated front seats in addition to the leather upholstery. These are also available in the Cold Weather Package, along with windshield wiper deicing technology.
Titanium PackageÂ
The Escape Titanium level trim gives you everything above, including hands-free function for the power liftgate, keyless ignition, ambient lighting, eight-way power passenger seat, driver memory settings, auto-dim rearview mirror, and upgraded 10-speaker Sony HD audio system.Â
A Technology Package gives you blind-spot monitoring, xenon headlights with rear cross-traffic alerts, automatic wipers, and self-parking.Â
A navigation system is optional at both of the upper two trim levels.
